On December 10, China's first 30-ton graphene production line completed by Shenzhen Graduate School of Tsinghua University and Inner Mongolia Shengda New Materials Co., Ltd. Daily production capacity can be 30 KG below 5 layers’ graphene.
Kang Feiyu who is Chinese graphene new materials scientist and the dean of Shenzhen Graduate School of Tsinghua University said at the production ceremony,
“Low-cost graphene production in China has been achieved”. Shenzhen Graduate School of Tsinghua University is always in a leading position in grapheme production research and development. In order to promote the transformation applications of large scale natural graphite, they set up an Inner Mongolia Institute of Natural Graphite Application Technology to support Inner Mongolia Shengda New Materials Co., Ltd. to research the "macro preparation" technical barriers of grapheme.
As the thinnest, the most powerful, the strongest thermal conductivity of a new type of nano-materials, Graphene is called "black gold", is "the king of new materials”. Low-cost production of graphene is the key link in graphene industry, in recent years; our country invested a lot in the major research institutes. Only in low cost, can we realize its widely used in new materials. This production line will make great contribution to the industrialization of graphene in China. On the one hand, continuing to reduce the cost which can down to 10 yuan per gram. On the other hand, it is quickly and widely used in the downstream industry chain.
